My name is Julianne Gardner and I am one of the preschool teachers at Independence Primary School. This is my fifteenth year teaching in Independence. My teaching experience includes preschool intervention, kindergarten and first grade.
I am a graduate of Walsh University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Intervention. Additionally, I hold a K-12 Reading Endorsement and have obtained my Master's Degree in K-12 Curriculum and Instruction, with a concentration in gifted and talented learners. I feel that a positive learning experience is built upon a cooperative effort amongst the parent(s), child and teacher. One of my goals is to help each student work to their greatest potential as they develop a love for learning. My role is to also help your child develop the skills necessary to follow directions and cooperate with others, while learning how to take steps toward gaining confidence and independence. Students will achieve many valuable skills this year in terms of academic growth, greater self-confidence and improved social skills. I know that by working together we can make this school year rewarding, fun and successful. |
